About Me

“The combination of thought and action defines creative confidence: the ability to come up with new ideas and the courage to try them out.”

-Tom Kelley

Hey, I'm Nikita Mor

I am a UX/UI designer and filmmaker based in Toronto, with a passion for creative expression and technological innovation.

What motivates me to create

I believe in creating purposeful, usable, and aesthetically appealing products using human-centred design practises. I am fascinated by the intersection of user experience design, visual arts, and narrative storytelling to solve creative problems.

I currently work as a UX/UI designer in health-tech innovation at the MaRS Discovery District in Toronto.

A bit about my background

I have completed a Master of Fine Arts in Film from York University on full scholarship, a course in UX/UI design from Brainstation, and a Bachelor of Communications and Media studies from Jai Hind College.

Having worked as an assistant to award-winning filmmakers, and a feature film editor for television channels such as Animal Planet, I am proficient in telling empathetic narratives. International work experience across North America, Europe, and Asia, has immensely broadened my worldview perspective.

A fun fact or two :)

My debut novel was nominated by a Scholastic Inc. children’s fiction competition. I am also an underwater photographer and deep-sea diver! I love to challenge myself while constantly exploring the boundaries of my creative potential.
